How was the event?

This is how our meeting on "The Future of Fashion - Footwear: Strategies that Leave a Mark" went.

The Digital Thinking and PRB Audit Partners, S.L.P., brought together more than 40 companies and 55 industry professionals for a meeting that exceeded all our expectations. The roundtable moderated by Aitana Garcia Abad and Pablo Reig Boronat was a true exchange of value with the invited brands: Flabelus, KOOPS, OLIVIA MAREQUE and Ysabel Mora.

These were the main topics addressed during the round table:

Financing, the great accelerator

One of the most relevant sessions was on financing. The speakers agreed that when a project accelerates its growth, the main point of tension is having the cash flow to handle product purchases and marketing investment to sustain traction.

Although several cases have been financed primarily with own resources, it was emphasized that external financing is fundamental to continue scaling solidly and to balance cash cycles, production lead times, and launch windows.

“Growing is not just selling more; it is about building financial structures that support growth: cash forecasting, debt and equity mix, and unit economic discipline,” pointed out Pablo Reig Boronat.

Sales channels: control of proprietary channels and selective expansion

The conversation covered very diverse strategies: from the weight of the proprietary channel (stores and e-commerce) in projects like Flabelus, to consolidated wholesale models like that of Ysabel Mora, to digitally native brands like Koops and Olivia Mareque that are evolving toward wholesale and selective retail to gain capillarity and brand prestige.

“We have come from very strong growth in the digital channel since the pandemic, where many fashion and footwear companies gave a great boost to these sales channels. This growth has stabilized, and with a stagnation in the wholesale channel, it seems that fashion companies are betting on the proprietary store channel,” noted Aitana Garcia Abad.

Internationalization: growing abroad to stabilize the curve

All four brands are committed to boosting their internationalization. Practical lessons were shared regarding entry into the U.S. and Europe, market prioritization, and the role of physical retail, partners, and content in converting awareness into recurring sales, with cases of high international weight and others in the takeoff phase.

Product and brand: the true competitive advantage

The participants agreed that the product—differentiated, with a clear and repeatable proposition—is the lever that activates the entire business. Brand building acts as an amplifier to sustain price, margin, and preference, especially in highly competitive categories.

Marketing: from organic to an efficient mix

Acquisition models were analyzed, ranging from high-reach organic and events to performance and collaborations; the key lies in having a marketing mix adapted to each business and modulating the investment for each phase of growth.
